So I’ve been getting crafty since the New Year and tried a few DIY beauty recipes. I wanted to share my favourite with you, they’re all things you probably already have on hand, are super easy to make, and feel pretty luxurious in my opinion!
.
Cinnamon Lip Scrub
I haven’t found a cinnamon lip scrub in stores that I like, so I’ve been making this for myself. Cinnamon is actually a lip plumper and a natural exfoliant for smooth, soft lips. If you want a pouty look without injections, try this!
Ingredients: Ground Cinnamon Powder, Raw Honey, and Olive Oil.
Directions: Combine equal parts of all 3 ingredients in a bowl (I use 1 teaspoon) and mix well. Use it to buff out your lips in a circulation motion and apply your favourite lip balm after.
.
Oatmeal Face Mask
Oatmeal has rich anti-oxidant properties, plus I love it because it’s gentle and calming for the skin. The egg yolk and honey will leave your skin super supple and moisturized as well!
Ingredients: Honey (1 tablespoon), 1 Egg Yolk, Oatmeal.
Directions: Mix honey and egg yolk in a bowl, then slowly add oatmeal until it becomes a thick paste (I just eyeball the amount). Leave it on your face for 15 minutes and rinse off.
.
Coconut Honey Hair Mask
I love this one because it smells so good and my hair is silky smooth after! It’s super easy to make too, only 2 ingredients đ
Ingredients: Pure Raw Honey, Organic Pure Virgin Coconut Oil (processed ones with additives will dry out your hair or make it look greasy.
Directions: Mix equal parts raw honey and coconut oil (make sure the coconut oil is melted). Apply throughout strands and massage into your scalp, then tie your hair in a low bun and leave in for 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
