I’m super picky about my skincare, especially as I near my 30s. After all, you should be selective about what you put on your face! For quite some time I’ve been on the hunt for a face cream that would provide me intense hydration (I have very dry skin), anti-aging benefits, and won’t break the bank.
Enter Olay’s Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I was so excited when Olay reached out for a partnership. I have tried their eye cream which I adore and have heard about their Micro-Sculpting Cream, but never tried it. After putting it to the test, I was very impressed.
I knew I was in good hands because Olay has over 70 years of skin science and ensures only to include the best and necessary ingredients in their products. Olay’s Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream includes 3 key ingredients I love for my skin:
- Amino Peptides: Essential for helping the skin maintain its smoothness and firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, I love this in any anti-aging ingredient!
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): This is a water-soluble vitamin that can help minimize pores, smooth uneven skin, and soften fine lines and wrinkles. In skin care, this ingredient boosts cell turnover, which improves your skin’s tone and texture.
- Hyaluronic Acid: This is my favourite thing for hydrating my skin. A lot of people swear by Hyaluronic acid, and for good reason! It can hold a lot of moisture in to your skin but won’t feel heavy or greasy. This is how the cream is known to plump up your skin so well!
My first impression of the cream was that I loved how rich the texture was and that it wasn’t greasy. I actually preferred the texture to more expensive prestige face creams. I needed to know how it compared to those prestige face creams though, so I did little science experiemnt.
Using hydration beads representing our skin cells, I mixed equal amounts of Olay’s Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream and a $200+ Prestige Cream in separate bowls. I let them soak for 24 hours and then compared the size to see how much hydration they took from each cream.
The beads I soaked Olay’s Micro-Sculpting Cream in were much larger, plump, and bouncy! Now I know why there was so much hype around how Olay’s cream proved to hydrate better than a $200+ prestige creams!
Having used this for over a month now, most people use it as a day cream but I particularly love it as a night cream because I wake up with hydrated, smooth, and plump skin. With Winter coming, this will be what I reach for day-to-day since my skin gets super dry in the Winter months. I trust that this cream will keep my skin nourished, hydrated, and non-flaky! So the next time you consider that $100+ face cream, I encourage you to consider this Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
