It’s no secret that I have a love affair with shoes. I see them as pieces of art… and I love to collect. In this post I want to talk about designer shoes that I believe are worth splurging on. I know most people can’t just prance around shopping for these (neither can I), but for those special occasions where you’ve saved and want to spoil yourself, these are my recommendations.
I picked these based on how much wear I’ve personally gotten out of them. I’m a HUGE fan of cost-per-wear, because well, value! Yes the prices are still up there, but I believe that if the shoe fits your lifestyle and you can wear them a lot, it’s totally a bang for your buck. I’ve found that expensive shoes are much more comfortable than cheap ones and they also don’t wear out. These shoes will last you a while đ
Christian Louboutin Iriza Half D’Orsay Pump
I specifically recommend this shoe by Christian Louboutin, the Iriza Half D’Orsay Pump. It’s open/cutout on the side (half d”Orsay), which makes it more comfortable than their other heels. Christian Louboutin shoes are not particularly meant to be comfortable, but the amazing cut instantly makes you look like a million bucks. I have them in the 100mm.
Comfort: 7/10 – You can’t go out dancing in these, but you can definitely walk a few blocks without a problem. After that, I can’t say…
Where to wear them: These are my favourite for date night or cocktail parties. I save them for nights where I know I won’t be walking too much (nights you have a chauffeur) because I like to protect the red soles – the paint does come off with wear.
Manolo Blahnik Tayler Leather D’Orsay Pump
This is a very plain shoe with a simple silhouette, but they are so flattering on. I also have these in the 100mm and since it’s full d’Orsay, it’s pretty comfortable.
Comfort: 8.5/10 – Not as comfy as a flat, but comfy enough for running errands if you want to look chic while doing it.
Where to wear them: Great for the office or interviews. The style is minimal (I mean, it’s just a plain pump) so I think that makes it quite professional looking. Sometimes less is more, right?
Chanel Boots
I didn’t think anyone needed these until I got a pair. Stuart Weitzman was my go to for boots (and still a fav), but Chanel boots are next level! They stay up on your leg where they should and while these are suede, they’ve been pretty easy to keep clean and take care of – just don’t wear them in the rain!
Comfort: 9/10 – I’ve walked uphill in these and my feet were fine. The block heel (although high) is very forgiving.
Where to wear them: Umm, anywhere. They’re Chanel boots – they go with any outfit and occasion.
Valentino Rockstud Pumps
Oh my gosh, I could talk about how great these are all day. Whether you get them with the kitten heel or the higher heel, they’re SO comfortable and instantly glam up any outfit. They come in so many colours so everyone is bound to find a pair they like. Some may find them a bit edgy with the rockstuds, but trust me, you’ll grow to love them.
Comfort:Â 9.5/10: I’ve worn these all day running around town and my feet didn’t completely hate me. Sometimes I don’t feel like I’m wearing heels at all.
Where to wear them: You can honestly also wear these anywhere. Wear them to brunch, shopping, heck I’ve worn them walking my dog.
Shop the shoes I mentioned and others that I recommend:

I loved this post! I’m seriously considering investing in a designer bag as soon as I’ve saved enough, and I think shoes will be next on my list! I’m becoming more and more obsessed with the idea of having a bit less, but better quality things in my wardrobe! Loved your recommendations!
