My friend Sarah and I recently made time for a trip up to Whistler for some much needed girl time. We’ve been trying to plan a trip for ages, and thought, why not go somewhere that’s only a short drive away. Whistler was the perfect option!
Stay
We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and had the most amazing time – we’ll definitely have to come back! The hotel is in the perfect location if you’re coming up to ski and snowboard, plus it’s also an easy walk to the main village.
The Chateau Whistler has everything you could want for a luxe getaway – a beautiful lobby and lounge, lots of amenities and services, it’s connected to the ski hill and the village, and is close to all the action.
There’s nothing like breakfast in bed with a view of the mountains. The Chateau Whistler has a great menu for room service and top notch service. We felt totally pampered! You all know I live for breakfasts like this, so it was undoubtedly my favourite part of the whole trip.
Eat
Bar Oso was a favourite of ours this trip. They serve Spanish influenced small plates that are great for sharing and their drinks are to die for – great wine list and cocktail menu.
Other favourites of mine are Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar for farm to table dining and Quattro if you want classic Italian food.
Play
It wouldn’t be a girls trip without a visit to the spa! I can’t recommend the Scandinave Spa enough. Definitely book in advance as it’ll get busier, you won’t regret it! It’s huge – you could spend the whole day there (and why wouldn’t you)?
I’m already thinking about planning my next trip up in the mountains. There’s so much I haven’t done yet so I can’t wait! Let me know any recommendations you have for me đ
