You’re casually running errands around town and you want to look chic and put together, but effortless and not too dressed up. What do you wear? I really believe that shoes make the outfit. When I want to take a simple outfit like sweater and jeans to the next level, I always reach for a pair of heels. Particularly my white heels.
White heels have always been a staple to me, partially because I’m obsessed with the colour and live for an all white outfit (even after labour day). I would go as far as saying white is the new nude and here’s why:
White is actually so versatile
Like black, white matches everything, but it’s not as basic which I think makes it more chic. My favourite combo is denim with white heels – classic and instant 10!
It can work for different seasons
White heels will help you get the “Winter whites” look, but transitions well into Spring when you wear lighter colours. White shoes pair great with a pastel outfit or pops of colour too. Then there’s Summer, my favourite time to wear white because it flatters a tan! How bout that for getting your cost-per-wear?
The unexpected “wow” factor
White heels are not as common as black ones so I find it’s quite bold and makes a bigger statement. If you style a pair of white heels well, you’re bound to get a compliment or two!
I see white heels as an investment piece, so I splurged a bit on mine. You really only need one pair so might as well spend a little extra for the ones you really love and that will last. Still not convinced on white heels? That’s okay! There are many affordable options that give you the same look so you can try out this style before you invest.
